Michael Allsopp Design undertook the transformation of two apartments into a luxurious 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom penthouse in the vibrant heart of Surry Hills. Collaborating closely with the builder and the client, we brought to life a vision that balances timeless elegance with intricate detailing. The redesigned layout features a primary bedroom suite, a dedicated guest suite level, a hotel-inspired lobby entrance with hidden doors for a touch of sophistication and fun, a mini library, and a gourmet kitchen complete with a butler’s pantry, seamlessly blending luxury and practicality. The penthouse offers sweeping views of Surry Hills, sparkling by day and dazzling by night. To complete the project, we curated a selection of bespoke furniture, incorporated art from the client’s personal collection, and added striking lighting to enhance the atmosphere. A refined material palette of oak veneer, natural stone, and textured elements was thoughtfully selected to unify the spaces and elevate the overall design. The result is a cohesive living environment that exudes both comfort and aesthetic beauty.
